Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year.
We made some ugly sweaters
Austin loved opening presents
 The older two were excited
We got a bigger TV so I can watch my Broncos in the superbowl.
My dad won the ugly sweater contest
Carli's present cam a few weeks earlier by the Fed ex guy when she opened the door.
Not to self, never ship to the house.
Lots of frozen doll stuff, trains,
And my favorite thing was geotrax.
I bought these off ksl in October and had to wait two months to set it all up.
He loves them and they are so much fun.
But the best thing about Christmas was spending time with family and
reflecting about the birth of our Savior.  Merry Christmas.

Tis the Season

I love December.
I love the spirit of Christmas and taking time to reflect on the birth of our Savior.
We spend the month doing fun things as a family.
Ward Party photo
First Santa picture.  Azzie was too scared until this year.
Austin loved him.
We love riding the wagon ride at Thanksgiving point.
 Seeing the Reindeer

Sledding and then drinking hot cocoa while watching polar express.

 The festival of trees

This is the NICU tree.  One of my favorite things about being a volunteer is passing out some of the donations to families with little babies at the hospital.  So neat!
Shopping at Scheels and riding the ferris wheel.
 Watching the Broncos football games.
I finally got all the pieces to my manger set.  Of all of the things we do at Christmas time
my favorite is listening to music while relaxing and enjoying the Christmas tree with some egg nog ice cream.
Merry Christmas!

So Thankful

For the first time I had Thanksgiving at my house.  I was kind of nervous about
cooking a turkey, but my sweet mom came down and helped me and also decorated.
It turned out so pretty and we had a great time. I am so grateful for my mom.
Last year Tayton was in the hospital in a coma and we were so scared.
I was so thankful that he was able to come and enjoy dinner with us.
He truly is a miracle.
He is so sweet with Austin.  He brought some of his geo trax for him to play with.
Can you guess what Austin wants for Christmas?
He has some big surgeries coming up and we are praying for him constantly.
I was able to spend the day with him and my sister on the one year anniversary of his accident.
We laughed and cried and instead of thinking of it as a tragedy, for me it is the anniversary
of the day that I learned to truly appreciate my family.
My sisters amazing blog post about that day and the tough but amazing year later:
I'm so thankful that my dad and brother went into the mountains and cut me down a real Christmas tree.
Its a tradition and I've had one every year.  Love you guys.
No Black Friday pictures since I chose that time to spend with my amazing family.
I also attended the funeral of an amazing lady Dianne Weeks.
It was a great reminder to try and be more Christlike just like she was.
